These are some interesting stuffs I need to point out

Global Voice Translator
It translates 50 Languages. Say you wanna speak with your French friend, all you need to do is speak on this phone on English, and it’ll automatically translate and speak out in French for your friend from the speaker in the rear. You French friend can do the same thing.

Most of us are still wondered about web based translation tool. Obviously it’s an awesome feature. Personal translator got a real big problem. In near future political leaders can bring this phone instead of a beautiful translator lady.

Shave while you travel
There is a razer attached to the phone. You don’t have to spend time on wash-room to shave your beard. You can do it while you’re on the run. Ladies can use it to shave the hairs on the hands and legs.

Shave and talk while you on the street. Cool huh?

Watch Movies with Pomegranate
You can use your Pomegranate phone as a projector and watch movies and TV shows in you home. It’ll bring Home theater experience to you and your family.

Also you can use this projector feature for your business purpose such as showing presentation etc.

Make Coffee with your Pomegranate
OMG you can now even make coffee with your phone. All you need to do is insert a flavor to your phone and use the phone and it’ll suck the water inside and make you a coffee.

Harmonica
You can play music with your phone. When you’re tired and stressed you can play music, as you play mouth organ.

Doesn’t it ring bell? Yes exactly they are fooling us by showing this wonderful site. Lol :D It took some time for me to find this out. Its your time to fool your friend.

So what is this? Well, it’s not a mobile device. It’s an advertisement for Nova Scotia…

The Pomegranate phone is part of the Nova Scotian government’s “Come to Life” viral marketing campaign. Nova Scotia has been criticized for spending $300,000 on the ad campaign, though the website received around 150,000 hits after a month, and they are considering it to be very successful.

Photosynth - Virtual Tour

August 25, 2008 · Filed Under Entertainment, Internet · Comment

photosynth logoHave you ever visited Taj Mahal or Pyramids of Egypt or the castles in England? Nope? Haven’t you worried about it? What you gonna do about it?

Don’t worry Microsoft has come up with an idea to solve your problem. You may not be able to afford a trip to Washington DC but you can afford to browse online rite? (Just like me)

So saddle up and visit http://photosynth.net. This site will provide you virtual 3D trip to famous locations in the world. Now I’m browsing through Pyramids , bit excited and wondering how big it is.

To view these virtual locations you need to install a plug-in which enables you to browse them in browsers. You don’t need to install any new standalone applications.

How does it work?

Photosynth is a potent mixture of two independent breakthroughs: the ability to reconstruct the scene or object from a bunch of flat photographs, and the technology to bring that experience to virtually anyone over the Internet.

Using techniques from the field of computer vision, Photosynth examines images for similarities to each other and uses that information to estimate the shape of the subject and the vantage point the photos were taken from. With this information, we recreate the space and use it as a canvas to display and navigate through the photos.

Providing that experience requires viewing a LOT of data though—much more than you generally get at any one time by surfing someone’s photo album on the web. That’s where our Seadragon™ technology comes in: delivering just the pixels you need, exactly when you need them. It allows you to browse through dozens of 5, 10, or 100(!) megapixel photos effortlessly, without fiddling with a bunch of thumbnails and waiting around for everything to load.

Even you can use your images that you took from your digital camera and make such virtual tour. This application will help you to synchronize your images and make a 3D virtual object. Imagine you moved to new home and wanna share it with your friends, isn’t it a wonderful idea????
