Blogger is one of the most popular blog portal owned by the internet giant Google. As per Google’s initiation to provide their products in local languages, they have taken steps to give Tamil interface for Blogger.
Currently you can check out the Tamil interface in Blogger Draft. A translation seems ok.
So far we have Good number of Tamil interfaces from Google including Orkut, Gmail, Main Search Site, Google News and Google Docs. Soon Blogger.com will also join with this queue.

Google Docs in Indian Languages (Including Tamil)
Google Docs now available in Indian languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, and Telugu. I’m so glad Google has given its concern over Indian languages especially beyond Hindi.
To activate its new interface, sign in to Google Docs, click ‘Settings’, and select the interface language you prefer.
I checked the built in Tamil spell checker of the Google Docs. It’s hopeless; don’t rely on that spell checker!
As I suspected earlier, it seems soon we can expect more products from google in Tamil and other Indian languages.

Yahoo rejects Microsoft’s Bid
Finally yahoo announces that Microsoft has undervalued their company. I got the following news from yahoo press room
After careful evaluation, the Board believes that Microsoft’s proposal substantially undervalues Yahoo! including our global brand, large worldwide audience, significant recent investments in advertising platforms and future growth prospects, free cash flow and earnings potential, as well as our substantial unconsolidated investments. The Board of Directors is continually evaluating all of its strategic options in the context of the rapidly evolving industry environment and we remain committed to pursuing initiatives that maximize value for all stockholders.

Blogger SUCKS! WP Rocks!!
For last six months, I was using blogger and finally found that it sucks! As the result, I have moved to new domain (http://eblog.mayuonline.com) and installed Wordpress.
Now only I realized the potential of the Wordpress. We have hell lot of control over wordpress, but not over blogger. We have to use what blogger has given to us. If you take themes.. Whoa!! Whoa!! Search in google and see how many beautiful themes you can find for wordpress.!!
There are some linespacing problem occures in Wordpress when we use Tamil script and Firefox together, but it can also be solved by doing some edits in CSS. Actually it’s not the problem of Wordpress but the problem of Microsoft Windows. (Again windows SUCKS!)
If you are still struggling with blogger.. It’s time for you to switch to wordpress!!!
If you are wondering how to import your old blogger post to new wordpress site, then do a googling and you’ll get an answer.. Actually you have to open an account in wordpress.com and then you can import your blogger post to your wordpress.com site.
If you have installed and using wordpress in your own domain, then download the posts from wordpress.com and upload it to your new domain!!!
Happy blogging!
With love,
Mayu.
