Karunanithi is one of the most hated TN politicians in Sri Lanka both by Tamils and Sinhalese. Almost every citizen in Sri Lanka knows that Karunanithi is such a drama queen who hides behind Sonia Gandhi.

When the Eelam war was on the last phase, Mr. Karunanithi staged one of the most sentimental drama in Chennai. Who went on a hunger strike and told that he will not stop it until SLGov stop the offensive on Tamil people in Wanni. But his hunger strike was over within 2 hours and he released a press release saying “I’ve made SL government to stop the offensive attack on innocent Tamils”.

How long can someone cheat on innocent people? In the very next election (2011) he learned his lession and defeated by his sworn enemy Jeyalalitha. Who once dragged him out his house in middle of the night and made him a prisoner.

Then and there Mr. Karuna brings out the Eelam issue to feast on votes of Tamil Nadu and most of the people in TN now knows about this guy and his family politics. Most recent TESO is one of the bullshit around his marketing campaign with the support of Sonia Gandhi and Central government. Remember he is still in the alliance of Congress led by Sonia.

But guys, you really think Karunanithi working hard for a separate state in Sri Lanka for Tamils? BULLSHIT!!

When the war was on the peak, he is the one taking care and controlling Tamil Nadu and the turmoil in the state. He was working closely with central government and Sonia Gandhi to control the situation in TN while SL carried out the offensive in frontlines, and he had his own reasons to hate LTTE.

It was so obvious Indian government was helping out SL Gov along with other countries such as China etc. In my humble opinion, without Karuna’s help Indian government would have had nightmare controlling the Tamil Nadu state during the latter part of war. His lies and dramas kept state silent and when they (people of Tamil Nadu) woke up from the drama, it was too late as the war in SL was over.

One of the main reasons for him to loose elections in Tamil Nadu was the Eelam sentiments prevailed in Tamil Nadu (2G scam is another notable incident for his defeat). Jeyalalitha utilized it well and made her way into the state government as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Now all she has to do is shout time to time, send letters to Manmohan time to time and release some press releases and show TN that she cares and cries for Tamils in Lanka.

None of the politicians in Tamil Nadu really bothered about the Tamil in Sri Lanka. Except MGR who directly got involved and started to give enormous pressure to Indian government back in 80s. Every politicians there have their own reasons and them shamelessly feasting on Eelam sentiment.

In future if anyone comes to you and tell you that, “Karunanithi is working for an Eelam in Sri Lanka”, you tell him to bugger off. We all know Karunanithi is broke and he is using his last weapon Eelam there.

Tamil Nadu won’t be able to do anything in Sri Lanka as central government controls foreign affairs and military. Also central government has the power to dissolve the state government if things go ugly and out of control.

Just understand the cheap politics there and let’s not fall for the crap of Karunanithi and Jeyalalitha. Let them stage their drama there, while we work for reconciliation and betterment of our people in our country.

I’m seriously started to worry about the pattern change in the Sri Lankan society. Last couple of months so many crazy things happening around us. Kids and women were molested and raped, Thugs attacks Muslim, Hindu Shrines and the latest addition is, Sri Lankan supporter’s unruly behavior at cricket match.

How many of you guys remember the 1996 Cricket World Cup semifinals where Sri Lankan lions met with the Indians?? And we beat the hell out of India in that match?? And how Indian fans reacted?

Behavior of the Indian fans were so amateur and unruly they threw bottles and garbage at our players who played near the boundary line. Well, things do change huh? Now Sri Lankans are picking up on Indian fans and proving that they are just amateur idiots like Indian fans at Eden grounds.

Guys seriously? I proudly say everyone I meet that Sri Lankans are the people with BIG smile on face and well-known for their hospitality.

I know majority of the Sri Lankans would feel disgusting about the things happening around, but the minority who does all these crappy stuff are enough to get the attention and spoil our image and hurt others feelings.

Let’s raise our voice against such goons because we all know law and enforcement is going to do nothing about it as long as they don’t get any directly orders from supreme head.

Dear friends,
Every one is talking and celebrating the victory of Armed forces. As far as I see most of the Tamils are inside house and keeping themselves quite. Also I can see, here and there people are collecting foods and medicines for the IDPs. I can frankly say most of the Tamils are still in the shock to be honest. During this war both SL and LTTE violated the human rights. Thousands of people were killed in this war in vain

Thirty years of damn fucking war has ravaged each and every one of us. Doesn’t matter whether you’re a Tamil or Sinhalese we all fucked up by this war.

From the birth, people of my age have never seen a war free Sri Lanka. Time is having the power to heal but in our case time has given us more vengeance and hatred. No one can deny that Tamils were mistreated in Sri Lanka after the independence.

Tamil Youths started to raise their voice and it became an Eelam war headed by LTTE. Most of us started to believe in this war and thought that we can win our rights back through this war. Now my dear friends, think for a while, who lost everything because of this war? More than our Sinhala brothers, we paid enough in this war.

We always complain about the past. Typical example we always brought up is 1983 riots against the Tamils. True, government should have stopped it, instead they watched it happen and they’ve given enough protection to mobs.

Back in 1983, LTTE killed 19 SL soldiers and it triggered the black July in Sri Lanka, but afterwards when LTTE gained control over Mullaitivu, Elephanpass thousands of soldiers were killed but there was not another riot like 1983. What I’m trying to say is, we Tamils must accept the reality and should give Sri Lanka another chance.

Now the world has change. We must come out of our circle and think according to the current situation, I mean think rationally. Personally I won’t stand another war in this country. I’m tired of it. Please my dear friends give Sri Lanka another chance to prove that Tamils are part of Sri Lanka.

It’s been five years since I moved to Colombo. I studied in Kelaniya campus where most of my friends are Sinhalese. I’ve never been treated badly by any of my friends. When ever I had problems they were there to help me out. They came even to our home in Trincomalee and Jaffna and satayed in our home shared our happiness with us. We went to their homes in places such as A’Pura etc. Now I’m working in a reputed software company where most of my office mates are Sinhalese. Please believe me, when ever I wanted something, there are always friends and most of them are Sinhalese.

I’m assuring that Sinhala youths understand Tamil grievances more than international community such as how we are getting treated in Check-points etc. There are some Sinhala friends who apologized to me on behalf of SL forces after by having seen how I got treated in Check-point.

End of this war brings another era or another chapter to Sri Lanka. We all should take part in this chapter, and no point of talking about the past again and again. We Tamils must give Sri Lanka another chance. Who knows in future world will have lessons from this small nation ‘Sri Lanka’.

PS: Just because I wrote this letter some might call me ‘A Traitor’ but it doesn’t matter. I’m really tired of this damn fucking war and it’s effects. I have come out of the shell, hope everyone will do for the better future of our own people.
