Karunanithi is one of the most hated TN politicians in Sri Lanka both by Tamils and Sinhalese. Almost every citizen in Sri Lanka knows that Karunanithi is such a drama queen who hides behind Sonia Gandhi.

When the Eelam war was on the last phase, Mr. Karunanithi staged one of the most sentimental drama in Chennai. Who went on a hunger strike and told that he will not stop it until SLGov stop the offensive on Tamil people in Wanni. But his hunger strike was over within 2 hours and he released a press release saying “I’ve made SL government to stop the offensive attack on innocent Tamils”.

How long can someone cheat on innocent people? In the very next election (2011) he learned his lession and defeated by his sworn enemy Jeyalalitha. Who once dragged him out his house in middle of the night and made him a prisoner.

Then and there Mr. Karuna brings out the Eelam issue to feast on votes of Tamil Nadu and most of the people in TN now knows about this guy and his family politics. Most recent TESO is one of the bullshit around his marketing campaign with the support of Sonia Gandhi and Central government. Remember he is still in the alliance of Congress led by Sonia.

When the war was on the peak, he is the one taking care and controlling Tamil Nadu and the turmoil in the state. He was working closely with central government and Sonia Gandhi to control the situation in TN while SL carried out the offensive in frontlines, and he had his own reasons to hate LTTE.

It was so obvious Indian government was helping out SL Gov along with other countries such as China etc. In my humble opinion, without Karuna’s help Indian government would have had nightmare controlling the Tamil Nadu state during the latter part of war. His lies and dramas kept state silent and when they (people of Tamil Nadu) woke up from the drama, it was too late as the war in SL was over.

One of the main reasons for him to loose elections in Tamil Nadu was the Eelam sentiments prevailed in Tamil Nadu (2G scam is another notable incident for his defeat). Jeyalalitha utilized it well and made her way into the state government as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Now all she has to do is shout time to time, send letters to Manmohan time to time and release some press releases and show TN that she cares and cries for Tamils in Lanka.

None of the politicians in Tamil Nadu really bothered about the Tamil in Sri Lanka. Except MGR who directly got involved and started to give enormous pressure to Indian government back in 80s. Every politicians there have their own reasons and them shamelessly feasting on Eelam sentiment.

In future if anyone comes to you and tell you that, “Karunanithi is working for an Eelam in Sri Lanka”, you tell him to bugger off. We all know Karunanithi is broke and he is using his last weapon Eelam there.

Tamil Nadu won’t be able to do anything in Sri Lanka as central government controls foreign affairs and military. Also central government has the power to dissolve the state government if things go ugly and out of control.

Just understand the cheap politics there and let’s not fall for the crap of Karunanithi and Jeyalalitha. Let them stage their drama there, while we work for reconciliation and betterment of our people in our country.

As far as I remember there are not a single decent super hero Tamil movie ever released in Tamil Film industry. For example if you take Kanthasami, it was a total disaster and I know how much people hated it.

There is going to be another Super Hero movie in Tamil named “muhamoodi” (முகமூடி) which means “mask”. I hope It’ll not be a pure rip off from some Hollywood flick. Tamil directors are famous for ripping Hollywood movies and add some Tamil masala to make it look like brand new Tamil movies.

Director Miskin says:

I have portrayed the hero of the film as a normal human being. The film has comedy, romance and all the other entertaining elements. Both Jiiva and Narain have done a wonderful job. People, irrespective of their age, will fall in love with the hero who appears as a superhero in the second half. We are also considering a sequel to this film.

Hope director Miskin will not let us down with another flop.

Today I read news in a Tamil website about Expo Air and it is venturing back into Jaffna flights using a 12-seater Cessneda Grand Caravan aircraft which costed 2.6 Million US dollars. . Left me to think of old days!

There was a time when the war was on the peak, there were no proper transportation available to Jaffna. People are supposed to travel by either Sea or Plane. Most of the people those who had money chooses the way of Air as it is more effective.

But even after paying the money it won’t be as fun as we think. You need to stay in big queues to get a ticket. Even after getting a ticket, you have to wait on a long waiting list!!! Even after getting your place, your flight might get canceled at anytime. You may even ask to leave after boarding the plane. Now it sounds so silly but it was the reality.

Put all the hassles aside check the prices those days. You can go to India for about 15K but to Jaffna expo charged 22K. Pure rip off! But many those who had money didn’t bother to pay it as we all will pay any price to see our loved ones.

After A-9 was opened, expo’s expensive overrated services no longer needed by most of the people. Instantly the demand melted and people started to travel via A-9. Demand dropped from 200 passengers to 30 passengers per day. As the result Expo sent their 52-seater aircraft to Indonesia and trying to lease it out to some other company.

Good luck to ExpoAir. We do need domestic airlines in Sri Lanka but I hope they’ll not increase the prices as they did earlier to rip off from innocent people. I think they have already repaid the karma

Cine-complex is not a new concept to Sri Lankans. There are already few theaters with same concept such as Cine City. Now Majestic Cinema joined the club and innovated a cine-complex with a 3D cinema.

There was a big complain all these days that there are no 3D cinema in Sri Lanka. As a matter of fact now we have an exclusive 3D theater hall in Sri Lanka. Last week end I decided to check out on the hall and went to Majestic City 5 th floor. Man! The first look itself amazing. I loved the design of the lobby. It reminded of me the Prasads in Hyderabad which is an iMax theater.

Finally watched the Three Musketeers movie. There are not much 3D effects. You can enjoy the 3D technology in first few minutes when the background of the story given by a narrator. Hope they’ll bring down a cool movie soon with full of 3D effects.

By the way just like western countries 3D hall doesn’t offer interval or break. I’m sure this is because our people might run away with 3D glasses lol.

LAHORE (AP): An official says eight members of Sri Lanka’s national cricket team have been wounded after gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in eastern Pakistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board security official Nadeem Iqbal says the team members were hurt Tuesday near the stadium where they were due to arrive to play.

Sri Lankan team manager Brendon Kruppu confirmed the incident and said the team’s batsman, Kumar Sangakkara, was among the injured.

Security concerns have plagued Pakistan for years and some foreign sports teams have refused to play here.
