Sometimes it’s very frustrating to see propaganda being used in Facebook. Most of the time this propaganda is being created out of nothing but who ever create it arouse the feeling of Sri Lankans by using nationalism, race, religion, culture and heritage. These attempts vary from Nolimit’s attempt to crush Sinhala population by using toffee to a latest attempt where a girl wearing Sri Lankan National flag and causing national disaster to our culture and heritage.

Above picture has caused lots of controversy among my FB friends. They are sharing it as if the girl has done crime and caused a national crisis. Guys, Seriously???
There is a code of conduct when using National Flag, how many of us know exactly what mentioned in the code of conduct? How many of us are following it? But then why ganging up on this girl who supported her country?
I have seen many people including Americans, British and even Canadians wear their national flag on their underwear. I’m sure the girl meant no disrespect to this; she was only supporting the country in my humble opinion.
Besides everything, aren’t there any other burning issues in this country? Are we all turning blind to real issues of the country and rushing behind controversial topics just to get some likes and shares in FB?
For god sake, shall we stop being emotional and start to think rationally when handling such sensational issues? Common Sri Lankans lets grow up, such narrow mind set going to guide us into dark black hole. Anyway that is where our country is kind of sliding into.

1. she don’t know how to respect the country flag,
2. she’d dope.
3. she knows the thing and she went up with that to get some publicity..
4. perhaps she want to be the topic of the day as for to show sri lanka’s are pathetic as your topic for google ads…
I find this hilarious. All the people who ganged up on this girl is just stupid and are utter imbeciles. You don’t have to look far see the first commenter, “lakshman”. This is the kind of stupidity that we should eradicate from ppls minds. People wear the flag bcos we’re proud of our country. These kind of blathering patriots think that the country flag should be like some sacred thing. Hahaha.
