I use mobitel broadband and it works great for me. The signal strength is good and get good speeds even when i outstation.

Don’t know about their customer service though, haven’t had an issue yet.

I’m using Iphone 4 latest one in the world, micro sim, their is no point having any iphone phone in sri lanka, because that technology doesn’t exists in sl.

hi,
i use mobitel broadband and i don’t have any problems when i use it with linux. but as u said iv experienced the problem in windows. but luckily i use windows only once in a blue moon. you being an IT graduate should migrate to linux :p

other than that i don’t have a big problem with mobitel, they are better than SLT broadband speedwise. nevertheless im hoping for the day airtell brings 3g outside Col area.

I don’t know about Mobitel but SLT customer services are terrible. Very few companies in Sri Lanka provide good customer service where the customer care executives respect and value the customer.

I would rather pay a little bit more for a product/service from a company that values it’s customers than buy from one that just doesn’t care.

ps. you might want to partially sensor the bad words;)
