Spam Free Gmail – Take advantage of Googlemail.com

How many of you know that when you sign up for a Gmail account actually you sign up for 2 emails addresses.
Your first email address will be as we know someone@gmail.com, but you’ll be entitled to another address, that is someone@googlemail.com.
You may ask what different does it makes???
Yes, it does make difference
You can leave your gmail.com domain in public virtual world and give your friends and family only the googlemail address. Make sure you print your googlemail address on visiting card.
Now its time to create a Filter in Gmail and filter all the mails that come to googlemail domain, so you’ll never miss a single mail that you received from your friends and family.
Let the spammers mess up with gmail.com address while you enjoy Googlemail address.
This stuff will work as long as spammers don’t start to spam Googlemail domain.

thanks for the info. i never knew that we can use googlemail.com…. it would be nice to have to email addresses that binds to the same account. i think i can use it do ‘filtering’ on emails sent by humans
I didn’t know this, but what prevents the spammers spamming the googlemail addresses after this information become public?
Anyway, I really like gmail’s spam filtering. The best I ever saw. I hardly receive max of 10 spam per year!!

What ever the method we come across, spammers will gradually break it. This method is most vulnerable . We can use it as long as spammers don’t take advantage of it.

take myname@gmail.com, you can use dots to make few more addresses outta it. say my.name@gmail.com or maybe mynam.e@gmail.com, it’s all yours.
add few more millions to it,
shit+myname@gmail.com or spam+myname@gmail.com, they are yours. can you make few millions of different words? and you have a gmail address? means you have n millions of email addresses. But there sites which are not accepting these as valid addresses. And one can easily pick the right address outta it.

I have done a mistake in my last comment. In + mark Gmail address trick the addresses would form as following.
Real Gmail address:
myname@gmail.com
Plus mark addresses:
myname+keyword@gmail.com
keyword comes after your gmail name
